On Easter Saturday before the kids went to bed we read my favourite childhood Easter book 'The Country Bunny and the Little Gold Shoes.'
We also read this book and discussed what the Easter holiday is really about.
Sienna decorated her bed for the Easter bunny!
I missed this handwritten note she'd left..."Easter Bunny write your name"
On Easter Sunday the kids found this basket with treats and individual baskets ready for an Easter Egg hunt outside.
Zara wasn't quite sure what the basket was for...
The easter bunny leaves the eggs in a basket for Mum and Dad to hide (as it's too hot to leave the eggs in the garden all night). Zara had no idea what was going on but she was excited once she knew there was chocolate involved!
The kids waiting at the door while Daddy hides the eggs
Alissa having a sneak peak...Harry wasn't impressed!
The mad rush to collect as many eggs as possible...
Zara started collecting rocks, haha!
"Hang on...I think there's chocolate in here!"
Harry helped Zara out
Lissy, with enough chocolate to last a year...or a day at least.
Zara in a sugar coma (right before church too!)
Sienna wouldn't smile in this photo because she thought Harrison had more than her. Easter joy.
Sorting and sharing out the eggs
We then went to church and afterwards had a lamb roast for dinner. Clinton went to sacrament meeting and then straight back to work. Easter Monday Clinton was working too, we missed him.
