Aunty Tam really spoilt the kids the whole time she was in Karratha with us. Not only did Pirate Pete come and give Harrison heaps of special things but Aunty also kept surprising the kids with lots of little things. Sienna soon worked out that Aunty had a backpack in her room with goodies inside. She would come into Aunty's room and say, "what else is in your bag Aunty? I know there is more in there..." We are so grateful for her generosity and for how special she makes our children feel.
One morning Harrison came into Aunty's room and she said, "Harrison, I have your birthday present with me - would you like to open it now or on your birthday?" Harrison decided he wanted to open it now (of course) and Aunty was happy because she never gets to see him open his birthday presents in person. Harrison was SO excited when he saw that she had bought him a Lego Technic set to make a truck. It's for 10-16 year olds but Harrison made it all by himself with no help. He wanted to make it all at once but we told him to do a little bit before and after school each day so that it would last longer ( of course, this meant that it was sitting on the dining table for a few days! haha!). I love it when Harrison does Lego because he becomes completely absorbed in it and is VERY quiet! This particular Lego model had three books of instructions and was quite intricate. Harrison loved every second of building it....it's just taken me a while to post pictures of the finished product!
Thank you Aunty for Harrison's birthday present and for all the little gifts you gave them throughout your stay with us. You really are an amazing Aunty and such a special person in the kids lives.
It has cool little gears inside that lift the tray up and down
