Last Monday was a public holiday and we decided we wanted to do something as a family...but we couldn't decide what to do! In the end we chose to go for a family hike (if you can call it a "hike") in Chichester National Park. We wanted to explore a new area one turn off before python pool. Unlike python pool this water hole has no path to follow down to it. Sienna was not impressed by having to navigate through spiky grasses and wobbly rocks. We borrowed this baby carrier off the Pilkington's hoping Alissa would be happier in it...she started off really happy but was over it by the end of our walk. She's really into wandering off by herself at the moment and doesn't care how far away I am (surprising really when she's so clingy, it doesn't make sense).
Hiding in the grass
We finally made it to this little piece of bush paradise...
It was the middle of the day and the worst time for photos - we're all squinting and the sun is casting harsh shadows. I still love these photos that Clinton took of Harry and Sen.
A moment of solitude on a rock
Unfortunately Alissa was too unhappy to be part of this photo
Navigating through the wilderness
We then drove to python pool and Clinton took this photo of the kids...very hard to get Sienna and Alissa to cooperate at the same time!
Alissa was starting to get tired and took her teddy and dummy with her
We got to python pool and Alissa tried to walk right in! Clinton got his sneakers wet grabbing her out...while I sat back and took photos of it!
Clinton taught the kids how to skim rocks
Harry's pretty good at it!
We tried to sidetrack Alissa from walking into the water by giving her food but it didn't work for long and we ended up heading back to the car and eating our lunch in there! You can see how wet her shorts are!
Sen's sneakers got a bit wet too!!
We got home at about 2.30 then headed out for a picnic at Hearson's Cove...photos in the next post!
