After another bad night with Alissa, I was up early with Harrison and Sienna while Alissa and Clinton tried to catch up on some sleep. I took the kids outside to watch the sunrise and love how this shot turned out..
There was a bridge next to our hotel that Harrison wanted to cross over so we went there after watching the sunrise.
We spotted a bird nesting on the top of the bridge
After a buffet breakfast we drove through Charles Knife Gorge but the national park was closed off so we kept going...here are some cool wild flowers that were on the side of the road.
We stopped off at some caves on the side of the road for a quick look too...
No bats inside thankfully!
Keeping Alissa happy on the ride home involved icecream, chocolate and watching DVD's! Hey...whatever works, right?!
We got home at around 5pm and we were so glad we had taken the opportunity to have a quick weekend away together! It will be a while till we can do anything like that again...wow, we are so spontaneous!
