On Sunday in Coral Bay we decided to have a quiet one and take a drive to Exmouth (about an hour and a half away). In the morning Mum cooked us bacon and eggs for breakfast, Sienna had a little sleep and then we started driving. The weather wasn't the best, it rained a bit and was quite overcast. Clinton had read about Charles Knife Gorge in Exmouth and wanted to check it out. We had some lunch in Exmouth and then drove to the Gorge which is located not far out of town. On the road it doesn't look like much, but as you drive into the national park and begin see it, you feel like you have been transported to a canyon in Arizona or Utah. Unfortunately, the sky was very overcast so the photos aren't as spectacular as they could have been.

Kangaroo on the road ahead...luckily we haven't hit one yet!
Dad's photos of the gorge capture the depth and size better I think...
We were sad to leave Coral Bay on Monday, the weather was perfect! Next time we'll plan to stay a little longer. On the way home we stopped at Fortescue River and ate our rolls from the Coral Bay bakery.
