Staircase to the SUPER Moon

It doesn't matter how many times our family has seen a 'staircase to the moon' at Hearson's Cove, we still keep going to see the natural phenomenon and continue to be awe inspired by it. It is always a magical experience watching the sun go down as the moon comes up over the vast ocean bed at low tide and seeing the reflection of the moon and the beautiful colours.

On this particular night it was forecast to be a 'super moon' and a 'staircase to the moon' so we made the effort to check it out. The beach was packed with people and cars as far as the eye could see. We came with a few other families and brought our dinner with us. Here is Harry, Reeve, Indy and Sienna exploring the ocean flats.

Clinton took these photos of the super moon, it was beautiful surrounded by the colours of the setting sun.

The rest of the photos were taken on my iPhone...

It's special nights like these that make us grateful to live in this remote part of Western Australia.
