Disneyland

All of us flew to LA together except for Dad who had to stay behind for church assignments. It was really hard to say goodbye to Dad!

We enjoyed seeing where Lisa used to live in Anaheim and get a feel for her life there. On the first night Lisa had organised tickets for us to go to a Halloween special at Disneyland. Everyone dresses up and there are trick or treating stations all over the park. The whole of Disneyland is decorated and all the characters are dressed up in special halloween costumes. Harrison and I had a blast!
Harrison the ninja and me the witch!

I don't usually like dressing up but it was a great atmosphere at the park with everyone dressed up and completely into the halloween spirit. Americans take halloween VERY seriously!
Grandma and Harrison - it was really fun having Grandma with us and sharing these experiences. She was so patient with looking after grandchildren allowing the older kids and adults to go on rides. She paid for a lot of our meals and activities too. Love you Grandma!!

Very cool decorations were all over the park
The following day we did Disney California Adventure park. It wasn't too crowded that day and the weather was perfect. We had so much fun! Lisa is a Disneyland expert and pre-booked us tickets onto the long queuing rides. We didn't wait for longer than 10 minutes for any ride. A highlight for me was the Frozen show - it was so professionally done.

Lisa and I, it's unfair that she lives so far away, I miss her.
These photos were taken on my iPhone so they are a little blurry - but here is Zara meeting Minnie Mouse. She looks scared but in reality all she wanted to do was eat Minnie's nose!

My favourite one..
Gorgeous Madi collecting signatures for her Island signatures book.
Lisa organised a special lunch at Ariel's Grotto where you get to meet a selection of Disney princesses. I wish my girls had been there, they would have loved it!
Ava loved cuddling the princesses

So did Charlie...hehe! So cute.
On the last day in LA we visited Disneyland again and had a special breakfast in Goofy's kitchen (again, Lisa reorganised this - it was amazing! Thanks Lisa!).

Cute cousins. They all had the best time together and got along really well. The last day was really hot and super crowded as it was a Saturday. Harrison and I didn't go on as many rides but we shopped for presents for Sienna and Alissa and enjoyed our last hours with the family.
