Hearson's Cove with the Lekias Family

The night we went to Hearson's Cove for a BBQ with Grammie and Papa we invited the Lekias family to come too. They had only moved to Karratha three days before and hadn't seen Hearson's Cove yet. We had encouraged Joel to work in Karratha when we first moved here three years ago and he was still studying. Joel and Nicole had felt good about moving to Karratha ever since our conversation and once Joel got full time work at Woodside (he's a process engineer like Clinton) he applied to work in Karratha. We are really excited to have them in the branch! They'll be here for a year as Joel is still in the grad program.

The Lekias family - Joel, Matthew, Nicole and Melissa (they call Melissa Lissy and Lissy Lou - our nicknames for Alissa! So Now our Alissa is "Big Lissy" and their Melissa is "Little Lissy" - very cute!). Nicole is also pregnant with baby number 3 - not that you can tell!

'Big Lissy' and Matthew struck up an instant friendship...he's only 4 months younger than her. 

They have a mutual love of getting dirty! 

Sienna needed a family photo to put up in her preprimary classroom - I realised we still didn't have a family photo with Zara in it! Papa took these photos of us...Sienna in her basketball singlet, Alissa covered in dirt, me with no makeup and messy hair...o'well, at least it's a realistic representation of us!
