On Good Friday we got up early (like we have a choice!) and headed out to a nearby beach for a picnic breakfast.
Still trying to get a good photo of these three all looking at the camera and smiling at the same time...
This is Karratha with all that heavy machinery in the background!
Clinton put our chocolate hot cross buns in foil and heated them up on the BBQ...delicious!
After hot cross buns Clinton got to work cooking eggs, bacon and toasting muffins....YUM!
Time for some Frisbee...a little rocky though so they moved to a better spot.
Sen piling rocks on... piles of rocks!
Alissa looking fed up and ready for a nap!
More frisbee!
Sorry about all the Alissa photos...she looked too cute in her white dress and hat!
Later when we were home I made some homemade hot cross buns...delicious with homemade honey butter!
We were invited to the Pilkington's Easter party that afternoon and said we'd bring a dessert. I made a Lemon Meringue Cake with layers of lemon cake and lemon curd topped with swiss meringue and torched by Clinton.
Sienna was really keen to get to the party and kept asking when we were going to the "Pilks" house...her new nickname for the Pilkington's. So cute!
We didn't get a great photo of the inside of the cake but here is a slice...yum!
Here is Harrison at the Easter party on the water blob the Pilkington's made! Lots of fun!
Amy giving Alissa a dip in the pool
Cute Zapporah enjoying the water
Alissa loved being pulled along on the slip and slide
Clinton took this adorable photo...she looks like a kewpie doll!
They had an Easter egg hunt, Alissa grabbed an egg and just wanted to eat that one and stop looking for more!
She got the idea!
Emily opening her Easter eggs
Sienna with her concentrating tongue out...obviously taking the hunt very seriously.
Sorry for the knicker flash!
Tahlia enjoying her eggs
Lucy using her shirt to carry her eggs
I found Alissa eating a whole egg with the foil still on!
We had a great night at the party and the kids had a blast! Great start to the Easter weekend - thanks Pilkington family!
