Grammie Visits Karratha

Grammie arrived on Wednesday last week - much to the delight of all the grandchildren and especially me! She's staying for two weeks and let me just say the food is amazing!! Papa didn't come this time but they'll be coming back together in October hopefully. By then Papa Snow will have had all his treatment for his cancer (he was diagnosed with prostate cancer earlier this year) and he should be fighting fit again. We have been praying for him and miss him not being here.

When Grammie got off the plane, Alissa was her usual standoffish self. Grammie gave her a cracker on the drive home which she eagerly took and gobbled up but was still wary of Grammie when we got to the house. It only took a day though and then Alissa was happily snuggling up to Grammie on the couch.
Sienna loves cooking with Grammie, here they are making more chocolate whoopee pies!

Alissa enjoying another one of Grammie's yummy dinners - Clinton making her laugh.
Grammie and Papa spoilt the kids with toys and clothes...including these cute Peppa Pig beanies. Alissa has learned how to put hats on her head and thinks she's hilarious when she's wearing one...I think Daddy does too!
On Saturday we took the boat to an island, the seas were beautifully calm and Alissa happily fell asleep on Grammie.

Our beach set up, Alissa getting more cuddles...

Alissa loving the water as usual
Clinton was pretty impressed that Mum got in the water with the kids

 Alissa's little tent
We had a lovely day at the beach but then the wind  picked up and it was really hard to get onto a rocking boat! It was a very rough ride home too, Grammie was a real trooper and even held Alissa all the way home (who slept in her arms again).

One day Grammie made Sienna a cubby house using plastic table cloths and she loved it!

They had a tea party under the table - so cute!
Grammie caught Alissa squatting in front of the oven, transfixed, looking at cookies baking in the oven...she'd stopped squatting when I got my camera out but still so cute!
Yesterday the kids were eating icy poles outside and Grammie came out to sit and talk to them. Then the kids decided they wanted to run in the sprinklers - Harry and Sienna put on their bathers but Alissa after watching for a while, jumped in with her clothes on! Here she is soaking wet!

Alissa getting sprayed in the face (it was on mist thankfully)
Sienna and Harry "washing" the car
The kids love having an audience and having Grammie outside watching them is the best audience there is!

My two princesses...digging in the dirt!

Sienna getting some revenge on her big brother...
