Another Year Older

I had such a lovely birthday this year...I was thoroughly spoilt by my little family, friends and extended family. The night before my birthday I went to a Xavier Rudd concert with Georgia, the tickets were a birthday present from her. Such an amazing gift it was too! We enjoyed a quiet dinner first then stood at the very front of an intimate concert..only metres away from Xavier. We danced and sang the night away!
This guy Bobby Alu was the supporting act and Xavier Rudd's drummer - very talented!
Xavier using using his didgeridoo - he play all sorts of guitars and other instruments

We had such a fun night and can't wait for many concerts to come Georgia! What an amazing gift!

Then the next morning Clinton let me sleep in until 6.15am (trust me that is a sleep in) then he had to go to work so him and the kids came in with presents. They got me some great gifts but my biggest surprise was a Clarisonic Mia2 an electronic facial cleanser brush that I had barely mentioned at the shops in Perth months ago. I couldn't believe he remembered (I had forgotten) and got the right thing! It's an expensive luxury gift and I love it! Then Clinton went to work and Amy picked up Harrison and gave me this gorgeous gift to put up on my wall and some peanut butter m&m's (she knows me too well!).
I dropped Sienna at her first Kindergarten transition class (it only went for an hour) then Georgia had invited me over for morning tea...she tricked me though! When I arrived, Emi, Amy, Laura and Rowena were all there too! They all gave me lovely gifts and cards and brought yummy morning tea! I hadn't been eating sugar but made a birthday exception and ate Amy's chocolate, caramel slice. Yum! Then Georgia kept Sen at her house for a play and I took Alissa home for a sleep. Having a few hours to myself on my birthday was an awesome birthday luxury! During that time, these beautiful flowers were delivered from Jackie. She had left that morning to move to London...such a sweetheart, I'll miss her!
That morning a present came from Theone too - an air fryer! We love it, we've used it heaps already. Another gorgeous gift from Aunty arrived too and she included presents for the kids so they were stoked. My Mum had sent a parcel the week before...I was feeling very spoilt. Then Erana and Mick dropped in after work with these cool kiss and hug balloons.
 The kids loved them!
Erana also bought me some amazing makeup brush sets from Sydney...she's the best!
Then Georgia came over to babysit so Clinton and I could go out for dinner. I am so lucky to have her living here in Karratha. Clinton and I went to the new Indian restaurant that just opened in Karratha, it was lovely food and we enjoyed getting out by ourselves for a date. Overall, one of the best birthdays I've had. I feel so lucky to be surrounded by beautiful friends up here in Karratha...it will be a very hard place to leave one day.

Sienna's Gymnastics Presentation

Sienna had her medal presentation at the end of gymnastics today. We still have two weeks left of gymnastics but they like to do it early to catch all the people going away for Christmas. I wanted to take a few photos of her doing her gymnastics but she wasn't in a very cooperative mood and Alissa threw the mother of all tantrums! I managed to get a few photos with Alissa screaming through the medal presentation...

 Sienna with her friend Bella

Sienna has really grown in confidence doing gymnastics this year, well done Sen!

Robotic Arm

Harrison got a robotic arm kit for his birthday and here are some photos of Clinton and Harry building it together. They had lots of fun playing with it when they were done!

Halloween

Well now you know how far behind I am with my blog posts...blogging about Halloween in December! On the morning of Halloween I took Sienna and Alissa to their usual Friday craft class where they made lots of cool little Halloween themed crafts (Emi runs the class and it's awesome). Then Georgia and Emi came to my house where we made caramel apples. Georgia and I went to a Halloween party in Perth a couple of years back and the host Natalie was from Canada and she made the most delicious caramel apples. After eating them I vowed I would make some every Halloween!
We had never made them before and they worked out really well and were delicious!

 mmmm....caramel apples....
We then got dressed up to go to a 'trunk or treat' that was organised by a lady from church. Instead of going house to house trick or treating, you go from car to car (trunk to trunk) and the trunks are decorated. We were going to do our own trunk but then decided not to and donated some lollies to Georgia's trunk.
Alissa dressed up as a pumpkin!

 Is she adorable or what?
The kids all dressed up...Harry's skeleton pj's came in handy Aunty Bindi!

"You're not scary Harry!"

We then went to Georgia's house where Erana was doing some makeup on Reeve and Indy. Erana is a makeup artist who has studied special effects makeup...she's amazing at it! This is Reeve...Erana did the bone sticking out of his arm, it freaked my kids out!

 Then Harrison wanted something done...
 Creepy...
All ready for the trunk or treat
This was Georgia's trunk...the most creepy one by far!
The kids had a great time at the trunk or treat with lots of other friends from church.

SIENNAISMS

Here are a few funny phrases Sienna has said over the past few months...

"Can you do me the flavour of getting me dressed?"
I said to Sienna, "you can have one more cookie but only if you give me a big bite" and then Sienna lent over and bit my arm! haha!
Instead of driving all the way to the ATM at the shops I often get money out from the service station on my way somewhere. One day Sienna said, "Mum can I have this toy?" points to a picture in a toy catalogue. I say, "you don't have any money to buy it though" she replies "lets just get some money from the servo". Apparently money from the "servo" is the equivalent of money growing on trees.
I say,"If you keep eating chocolate you're going to turn into a chocolate bar!" Sienna replies, "Oh, I'd rather turn into a jelly bean...a red one!"
We were doing TimTam slams and Sienna said Aunty Tam's new name should be "Aunty Tim Tam Slam".
Aunty said, "that mountain was over a thousand feet" and Sienna says, "Aunty, mountains don't have feet!"
I say, "now go to the toilet before bed because you've just drank hot chocolate", Sienna says, "then I'll do a hot chocolate wee."
Sienna fluffed and I said, "Sienna was that you?" she says, "yes...silent but dead."

She sure is a funny little soul. My favourite was one day when she was helping me cook and I said, "if you keep helping me cook and practice and work hard, one day you'll become a good cook" Sienna replies, "yes, I'll become a good cooker and to become a really good Mum I'll become like you Mum." Heart melt...we love our Sienna-Bug!
