School End of Year Concert

The end of year primary school concert was on a Monday night at 5.30pm. Clinton got home from work on time and we took two cars so the girls could go home early - Harrison had to stay until the end. Harrison is dressed as a zombie because his class did an 80's dance collaboration and Harrison was in 'Thriller'.

Sienna is all about posing for photos these days!

We sat on deck chairs at the back and Alissa found her friend Addison and sat with her (she's Sienna's friend's little sister).

The kindergarten classes getting ready for their song 'Over the Rainbow'.

Harrison performing 'Thriller' with his class - he was too embarrassed to wear full face paint!

It was actually a really well organised night and all the performances were good this year. Here are some videos Clinton took of Sienna and Harrison's classes. Can you spot Sienna in the middle in red?

Branch Christmas Party

We had a very busy couple of weeks at the beginning of December with a Saturday primary activity, work Christmas party, Branch activity and everything else in between! There were days where I dropped Harry at school and was out all day running errands then I'd pick him up and go straight to all the after school activities. I was exhausted by the Branch activity! We spent the whole day helping Sasha set the chapel up - she'd been working hard on it all week and Clint and I had helped here and there. Unfortunately I didn't bring my camera on the night!!! I didn't take any photos of the decorations - they were amazing! The inside had big tents set up (wrapped in fabric) to look like a Jerusalem village.

Luckily Amy Pilkington took some photos so these are hers...Clinton set up the snow machine outside which was fun. Unfortunately one of the kids knocked it right at the end of the night and broke it! Such a shame.
Milly, Sienna and Emily - cows in the primary nativity play
Group shot of the primary kids in their costumes - we had been practising singing 'The Nativity Song' in primary for weeks and the play came together really well. Harrison was a Wise Man.

Emi's husband Mick dressed up as Santa at the end of the night and distributed lollies.
Clinton got the YW to set up a Christmas photo booth complete with accessories to dress up in. Clinton bought some cool software so you could see the photo you were taking on his laptop then after the photos you could email or text them to yourself straight away! The branch had lots of fun taking photos.
I'm looking pretty tired here at the end of the night! There was a bad Christmas teeshirt contest on the night too...Clinton made his complete with fairy lights and a shirt for Harrison covered in fairy lights!

Family photo...
Here is a video Amy took on her phone of the nativity play...
Thanks for all the photos Amy!

Christmas Decorations

We put up our Christmas tree after church on the last Sunday in November. The kids were super excited to get out all the decorations. I didn't take that many photos but Clinton used his GoPro to take a time lapse of us setting it up!

Underwater Snorkelling Photos

Some underwater photos Clinton took of Harrison while they were snorkelling in Coral Bay
You can see ayers rock behind Harrison - it's one of the largest living brain corals in the world.

Birthday Trip - Exmouth

Once we had arrived in Exmouth we checked into our hotel and then drove straight to Turquoise Bay. It's easy to see why this beach has been rated as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. A couple of pics of me swimming with the girls with my preggo tummy!

Sienna getting braver and snorkelling in some deeper water - she went on a few snorkelling sessions with Daddy and did really well!
If there are any shells to be found, these two will find them - no matter how small!

Clinton and Harry went for a snorkel together along the reef - at Turquoise Bay you walk to the end of the beach and start snorkelling and there's a strong current that naturally pulls you along to the other end. You just have to be careful to follow the signs and not get pulled out to sea!
You guessed it, more sandcastles...

Pretty girl

I brought along some santa hats in hopes of getting a decent photo for our Christmas card this year - it turned out pretty cute!
Then back to our amazing hotel where we stayed in a town house complete with jacuzzi on the verandah overlooking the beach!

Now for more swimming in the hotel pool...
Harrison and Daddy practising some snorkelling techniques

Alissa loved the toddler swimming pool that she could stand up in - I was in there with her most of the time!

Then we had a visitor at the pool - a giant goanna or bungarra as they call them up here!
It was touch and go for a while when we thought the bungarra might decide to take a dip! The kids were freaking out! But it decided to change course and leave after a while.

Alissa relaxing under a cabana - she nearly fell asleep!
Lunch at the hotel
Harrison and Sienna collecting shells on the beach across from our town house

We had such a relaxing break in Coral Bay and Exmouth and didn't want to leave on the Monday to drive back to Karratha. It was seriously the best birthday present ever, spending quality time with my little family (especially before another baby comes along!). We really do live in a special part of Australia - I'm so grateful for this experience. Thanks for my present Clinton!
