Alissa's Kindy Assembly

Alissa's class had their kindy assembly in term 4 and she was lucky enough to be a part of it. They often have a religious theme to their assemblies (which I love!) and they sang 'The Butterfly Song' - which goes; "If I was a butterfly, I thank you Lord for giving me wings....but I just thank you Lord for making me, me" Alissa was one of the butterflies, it was very cute.
Alissa did a great job of remembering her part and speaking clearly into the microphone
Singing and doing the actions

They also had a video of the kids answering questions about animals - it was very cute! Clint was able to come to the assembly too which was an added bonus!

Sienna's Sports Carnival

Our new school has a seperate sports carnival for Kindy, then for junior primary (pre-primary to year 2) then an upper primary school carnival (year 3 to 6). It's because the school is split into two seperate campuses. Harrison's was in term 3 so we missed that one. The advantage of a smaller sports carnival is that it was all finished by 11.30am! Alissa and Harrison were at school and Zara was in daycare which left me able to enjoy Sienna's whole carnival on my own. I was able to follow her around from event to event and really pay attention without younger kids or siblings in other races. It was fantastic!
Sienna is in my old House - Alethea.
Tunnel ball

Egg and spoon relay
In our old school Sienna was placed in the last race of her age group with only one other girl. I thought that was badly handled by our old school - she shouldn't have been in a race with only one other competitor. At this school Sienna really found a love for running during sports lessons and ended up in FIRST division. She was really excited to be with the fasted from her year. She is at the end on the left.

Sienna came fifth and I was really proud of her! Such a difference in confidence from only a term before at her old school.
It was a really lovely morning - without all the usual stress I associate sports carnivals with. I loved watching Sienna compete and she remained upbeat and happy during all the games. Well done Sen!

Ava's 3rd Birthday

Ava's birthday was on a Saturday and their family had just began the move to their new house in Sorrento. They had stuff between their old house and new house so Kate offered to have Ava's birthday dinner at her house on the Sunday. We went to Kate's in the afternoon after church and everyone brought a plate. Kate organised some party games for the cousins to play, including this piƱata. They had a great time!

Harrison is in a suit because he was going to a Priesthood preview at church that evening with Clinton.

Sienna's Merit Certifcate

Sienna was excited to get a merit certificate at her new school. They call them 'Caught You Doing Right' awards. I really love that the kids are now at a christian school that cherishes christian values and faith in God. They often sing christian songs at assembly and every second week they have a worship assembly which the parents are invited to attend.

Great work Sienna!
